Punjab National Bank (PNB) to expand debit card transactions. In this regard, the bank has informed its customers. A message from PNB said that the transaction limit for high-end (high value) cards will be increased soon. According to the statement, the daily transaction limit for Visa Gold Debit Card, Platinum Mascara Card and RuPay Card will be increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. With the increase in transaction limit, customers will be able to withdraw cash on a daily basis. Currently customers can withdraw a maximum of Rs 50,000 in a day, but soon they will be able to withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh.
Apart from ATM withdrawals, PNB is going to offer great convenience to its shopper customers. Preparations are underway to increase the limit of PNB’s daily point sales i.e. POS machines. The one-day limit for POS machines is Rs 1.25 lakh, which is to be increased to Rs 3 lakh. Point of sales machines are the machines through which we do our transactions by punching debit or credit cards.
Which card limit will increase
Punjab National Bank has said that the ATM cash withdrawal limit for RuPay Select and Visa Signature Debit Cards has been increased from the existing Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh per day. For these cards, the daily limit of POS transactions will be increased from Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. This will be the maximum daily transaction limit for certain categories of debit cards.
Customers can set their transaction limits through internet banking, mobile banking app, PNB ATM, IVR or by visiting a bank branch, PNB said in a statement.

Set limit through PNB One App
Customers who want to set debit card limit through PNB One app need to download the application and login. Then they can follow below mentioned steps to set their debit card limit.
On the home page, customers need to select the debit card icon and click on ‘Update ATM Limit’. After this they have to select the account number from the drop down menu. Under Debit Card Authentication, customers need to select their debit card number from the drop down menu. After this they have to enter the expiry date, year and PIN. Once you click on ‘Continue’ the screen will show the current limit. Then they can set the new ATM withdrawal limit and click ‘Continue’. The customer has to enter the OTP to confirm the request. Bank will immediately update the request. A customer cannot set a limit higher than the limit approved by the bank.
